Got off the Encounter today. Love your vids. I'm not one to participate in the dress ups/parties etc. I wanted a quiet relaxing cruise away from my hectic life. What i love is that there's no pressure to do so, and everything is just focused on do whatever makes you happy. There were people dressed to the nines and others walking around in beach wear and thongs and I love that. There didn't seem to be any judgement and that's how it should be. Didn't notice too much difference in my cruises, nearly ten years apart. Food was still nice, mostly, except i found some things very salty. However one can't complain as you'd never go hungry. Shortage of pool towels. We had to take white bath towels onto the island. Again, no biggie. Whilst I wouldn't bother with a short cruise, I'm definitely researching another 7 plus dayer. Best wishes. Your info is always helpful :)
Thanks for your comments SuezeeQ, you have hit the nail on the head about chilling out and doing what makes you happy. I too sometimes find the food can be a bit salty. Yes, you are correct there are no spare pool towels, you are allocated one and your cabin attendant will give you a fresh one when you request it. We love the longer cruises with port stops, but we are lucky to be only a 45 min drive from the cruise terminal, so the short cruises are fabulous for a weekend getaway. 🥰
Our first crusie they didn't even have anything on Facebook ect so I was glad we went with friends who have crusied before or we would have had no idea! What to pack what to do ect.
Thanks Peter, we love meeting people and having a gossip when we cruise, so if you see us stop us and have a chat. We never have a "working", "relaxing" time when we cruise so stop us anytime you see us.😉
great video guys :) i really love the paper copies of the daily programs, i find them much easier to read than the app. i had major problems on the app on our last 2 p & o cruises trying to find any information, there was a tiny tiny little bit down the bottom of the ph, about 1.5 mm wide that had the activities listed, and to save them into my planner was almost impossible, so i depended greatly on the paper copies. im also one of a kind hehe and actually like listening to the onboard announcements, i missed having that on virgin voyages. so im a bit old school in both ways.
Thanks Deb and Nick, we always appreciate your comments. I love the paper daily program, I skim read, so I can read the paper copy super quick, I find even when I am on cruises where the apps work for me, I'm faffing around trying to find stuff and tend to use both the paper copy and the apps. Do you guys have a youtube channel? trying to find you. 😍
Unfortunately we found that some of the activities like Trivia and Karaoke in the Encounter hotel were so packed that we couldn’t find a seat or there were multiple seats being held by one person while others went off and did other things. It was our first and last cruise for a variety of reasons, still love watching you guys though
Oh no, that's not good that you had a bad experience. Different cruise lines and ships vary massively. With a bit of research on-line and RUclips we hope you find something that may suite you better, it would be a shame to give it up forever. Thanks for still watching us, and happy travels in whatever you choose to do. 🥰
We had the paper version of cruise compass delivered to our room by our stateroom attendant each day on Quantum of the Seas, no need to go to guest services. We missed most announcements as they happened to take place when we were in our cabin. Is that teddy bear strategically placed for tomorrow? Thanks for another great vlog
Great information guys
Thanks Ami.

How did we manage cruising without phones, apps, screens, room cards/medallions, Facebook and RUclips?
It's great now though as so many people love sharing their tips and suggestions on Facebook and RUclips. 🤗
Thank You Sharing
Thank you green butterfly. 🥰
I can’t wait to meet you guys and cruise with you sometime hopefully in the near future with Ami and the fam 🫶

Yes, the bear was ready for the game, and it looked like it worked too.
Hi rob and Ali.
Hi Martin, thanks for your support.
